How We Helped Slimsticks go from Local to Global

2nd June 2023

What is Slimsticks?

Slimsticks, launched in 2010, were the first weight-loss product to use konjac glucomannan, an EFSA-approved soluble dietary fibre.

The Slimsticks team have over 20 years of experience in the field, making it the most effective weight-loss product available.

Where it all began…

Slimsticks faced a challenge. They needed to create a sleek and efficient e-commerce website that would deeply resonate with their target audience and effectively support the sale of their product.

The website needed to provide a seamless customer journey, promoting the product while addressing user concerns and questions.

That’s when Slimsticks turned to us.

So that we could deliver the perfect website for Slimsticks, we started by thoroughly understanding their product and target audience. We wanted to get a sense of what users were looking for and how Slimsticks could meet those needs. This step was essential to designing every touch-point of the website, from product exploration to checkout, in a way that would guide users effortlessly through the process.

Moreover, with customer experience as our top priority, we went above and beyond in designing a section for frequently asked questions (FAQs) with a user-friendly contact ticket form. We wanted users to have access to all the information they needed to feel confident in their purchase decision, including clear explanations of how the product works and helpful portion advice.

In addition to designing and building Slimsticks’ website, we took on another exciting task – creating a promotional video that explained how to use their product. This video served a dual purpose, as it would be featured on both their website and the Amazon platform.

In the end, we were thrilled to deliver a website that Slimsticks was proud of and that truly resonated with their target audience!

We couldn't have done it without Bopgun. Their expertise and dedication made all the difference in helping us expand our market. They understood our product and target audience, delivering exceptional web design and development.

Our story with Slimsticks doesn’t end there, though.

Eager to expand their reach and success in the UK, Slimsticks boarded a flight to the Middle East…

While we didn’t physically join them (maybe next time…), our expertise proved invaluable. It was time to put our development skills to work. We took on the task of working with their team to translate their existing website into Arabic to resonate with their local audience.

But that wasn’t all.

We recognised the importance of facilitating seamless transactions in the Middle East, so we implemented a multi-currency payment gateway. Additionally, this allowed customers in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to make purchases using their respective currencies, UAE Dirhams and Saudi Riyals. By enabling localised payment options, we aimed to enhance the overall user experience and make the purchasing process as convenient as possible.

While Slimsticks had a well-designed website in place, the question remained: Where would their product be stored and how would it reach the eager consumers?

Ensuring a smooth business setup abroad involves careful planning, and we knew that delivery and storage aspects couldn’t be overlooked. So we partnered with an Arabic fulfilment agency and seamlessly integrated it into the WooCommerce environment. From storage to deliveries, we left no stone unturned, providing Slimsticks with a comprehensive solution for their successful expansion.

As Slimsticks ventured into the Middle East, our contribution played a vital role in bridging the gap and ensuring their success in this new market.
