Meet Lloyd, our Head of Digital!

Meet Lloyd, our Head of Digital!

4th October 2022

Presenting Lloyd!

Lloyd is our Head of Digital with experience across different channels; he’s our go-to tech guy and manages all digital projects across the studio. Often you’ll find him “in the zone” with a pair of headphones on, listening to a podcast while he gets stuck into some serious coding.

Following suit, we’ve asked him some questions so that you can get to know him better:

Lloyd, our Head of Digital

Lloyd, our Head of Digital

Why did you decide to become a Web Developer?

“I’ve always had an interest in the internet and a passion for gaming. However, it wasn’t until 6th form that I encountered coding for the first time. I immediately had a connection and decided to pursue this in University, and I’ve followed that path ever since.”

If you could add one thing to the Bopgun office, what would it be?

“I love playing ping-pong, so a ping-pong table would be great.”

Lloyd is a self-proclaimed ping-pong champion here at Bopgun – we’re still waiting to see if this is actually true.

If you could choose any superpower, what would it be and why?

“If I could choose any superpower, it would be time-travelling so that I could witness historical events. I’d have to witness dinosaurs because I’d be the only human to do it, but only if I could travel in a protected ship to stop me from getting eaten. I’m also interested in The Game of Thrones, so to go back to age similar to that would be cool, perhaps the medieval ages – with dragons if possible. With time travelling, I can also go back and prove all the conspiracy theorists wrong!”

What’s one totally irrational fear you have?

“DON’T PUT GINGER BISCUITS IN WITH OTHER BISCUITS!”

Lloyd’s totally irrational fear is when ginger nut biscuits contaminate other biscuits. He believes that once you put a ginger biscuit in a shared tin of biscuits, then all the biscuits will taste like ginger as well, so Lloyd insists they be kept separate.

If you could invite anyone to a dinner party, who would you invite and why?

“Noel Fielding! He co-created one of my favourite TV shows (The Mighty Boosh), and he could also do my portrait – Titanic style.”
