Welcome Nate our new Junior Web Developer

Welcome Nate our new Junior Web Developer

11th August 2020

We’re really excited to welcome our new Junior Web Developer, Nate! As Nate is navigating the challenges of joining us in today’s bizarre climate and settling into his new role here at Bopgun, we thought we would carry on our tradition and get to know him a little better.

Tell us a bit more about what you’ve done before

In what feels a previous life now… I was an Estate Agent for about 5 years. I fell into the profession and loved it, It taught me loads and it was really great to help people move.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in web development?

For a long time, I wanted to move into the world of tech and had an interest in programming. But I was never too sure how to get into it. Last year I discovered a brilliant coding Bootcamp in Bristol (by DevelopMe). Ultimately I decided to take the plunge and go for it. It was a challenging few months but most importantly it gave me the confidence to get a job in web development.

What 3 things couldn’t you live without?

  1. A laptop (no surprises there) – but seriously, I love to learn about new technologies and make music in my spare time.
  2. A pair of good headphones – coding to some good tunes really is the perfect combo.
  3. Ice cream is regularly on the pudding menu at my house. Doesn’t matter what flavour but the wafer cone is essential.

What do you think of Bopgun so far?

A collaborative, fun bunch of people. I’ve only met most of the team over Zoom so I’m excited for the first ‘real-life’ hang out! I’ve also enjoyed getting stuck into the client work and can see why there is so much repeat business.
