Thumping expected subscriptions through the website!

Client: Hachette Partworks
Brand: Peter Rabbit

Define Problem:

As part of our ongoing relationship with Hachette Partworks to promote a range of licensed collections, we were asked to design and build a website to help launch the Peter Rabbit Patchwork Quilt collection - a step-by-step guide to creating a beautiful applique quilt. Hachette needed a subscription website to navigate all potential customers. Every element of the creative campaign would point back to the site, which needed to handle the traffic and convert customers into subscribers.

Design Solution:

The website needed to appeal to quilters and Peter Rabbit fans across the UK. Everything from the tone of colours to the imagery used was carefully selected to encompass a feeling of relaxation. And of course, we had to bring the beloved Beatrix Potter characters to life, making sure they were centre stage.

As well as showcasing the beautiful content it was essential users understood how the collection worked in order to push subscriptions. This was achieved with simple layouts, carousels & infographics as well as quick access to FAQs and a Live Chat function.

A very successful launch saw the website drive over 100k sessions and 90% of subscriptions came via the website. There was also a 68% uptake for the premium subscription offer, which was above target.
